How the web design process works, a simple guide
Designing and building a website is a two-way process – I work with you by taking your thoughts and ideas together with the content (words and images) and create a stunning website for your business.
I don’t know what you do or how you do it, so you will need to chat to me about your business, your goals and your pain-points and I’ll come up with an online solution that will make your life easier, draw in more customers and improve your business.
We discuss your website requirement and ideas over a coffee (in Exeter or near you) or an informal chat over the phone. It’s a simple, relaxed, fact-finding session.
A design fact-sheet will be used to provide a better understanding of your desired design, content and ideas.
Once you’re happy with what I propose for your newe project, an easy to understand contract will be sent to you.
This will outline important details like the project scope, any deadlines and a completion date, payment plan & any extras.
The design starts!
I will design the basic look and feel of your new website, complete with samples of page-designs.
I won’t start any work on the actual build of the website until you are happy with the concept designs.
Code and all that
I build your amazing new website using everything we agreed at the inital stages.
Once built, I will thoroughly test all parts of your new website to make sure it’s perfect before going live, including a mobile check and speed and security check.
Once you’ve checked through the website and given me the go ahead, then I hit ‘GO’ and your brand new website is live.
I’ll then provide any graphical items such as logo files, branding guidelines or fonts along with a user guide so that you can edit your new website with confidence.
You’re not alone! Once launched, I’ll make any changes you may need (or you can edit the content yourself, it’s entirely up to you) and if needed, I’ll help you get the word out.
